Greetings, Vaughn Family & Fall Creek,
We so enjoyed your fine performances at the Fiddlers' Festival at the Ashe County Park on August 7th (I know I have the name wrong but my t-shirt is in the wash!). We are back home way up here on LI, but with the beautiful CD you were so kind to give us, we don't feel far away from the mountains. It's hard to pick favorites, but "Train, Train," "Southern Flavour," and "Amazing Grace Revised" are flawless! I also love your originals, particularly "Shea Waltz" and "Castles in the Air." I'm still haunted by Savannah's rendition of "Go Rest High" in the folk song category, and wonder if she won the competition? If not, it could only have been a matter of tired ears on the judges. I do believe the performance was right up there with any Grammy-winning artist one could name. If the judges were listening, she took first by a long shot. Credit also had to be awarded to her fine fiddlin' and her dad's excellent guitar. I know she competed on instrumental also, and was so good. Her fingers just fly! I will look forward to any new releases, and in the meantime want to order 3 copies of your CD to give to friends. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks for all your kindness and wishing you and your family health, peace, and happiness! Alice Haining |

I wanted to thank you all for a great show at the Hills Of Home Bluegrass festival in Virgina. My good friend Jd Holbrooks and I attended the Thursday night show.We road our bikes on what we call our anual ride and decided this yr to attend at least one night. Good job by all, and we enjoyed your part of the show. I was so glad to see everyone honoring Ralph Stanley. We know that he should be. Exspecially at the age of 83. But not only that but for his Bluegrass legend. Thanks again for your part and may God always bless you and your family. Oh ya, that was our bikes parked by the gate. So nice of them to let us park so close. JD's was the Harley, mine was the red Yamaha. Very Good Job By All. |

Savannah, happy 17th birthday (see message 58, page 2, from your Mom). Ron and the crew, thanks for putting on a wonderful concert on April 29. It was an outstanding performance. I hope the DVDs of the show did it justice.
